Why Are You Here?
Its reality check time, folks.
There are thousands of people trying to market something on the Internet and if you are reading this then I can safely assume that you are one of them. If my assumptions are correct, then read on, because there are a few questions you need to ask yourself if you plan to be even remotely successful at marketing online.
What is the primary reason you chose to become an Internet Marketer?
I’d be willing to bet a fair sum that the majority of people reading this are going to answer with one word – Money. If you were lured in by promises of huge paydays in your first few weeks, then I hate to break it to you, but you’ve been punked. See Ashton Kutcher on your way out to collect your baseball cap and consolation prizes.
If, on the other hand, you are intrigued by the potential for growing and nurturing a new business from the ground up and you are willing to put in the time and effort required to see your new baby through to maturity, you may well be on your way to doing just that.
Your TV is lying to you!
We’ve all seen the same television ads about average Joes who “made $10,000 on their first sale” or “bought a vacation home by working part time”. In a word, crap. Don’t get me wrong, I have no problem believing that it has happened a few times but your Chihuahua has a better chance of picking the Power Ball numbers than you have at achieving that degree of success.
The harsh reality is that making money on the Internet is not a plug and play thing. It requires a good idea followed by a solid plan, coupled with a lot of hard work. If you are opposed to putting forth that kind of effort, then it is time to come up with a Plan B. If you are like me and feel that you’re up for a good challenge that has the potential for long term rewards, then keep on truckin’, my friend…and stick close to IM Rookie. They really do have their finger on the pulse of Internet Marketing.
